Auto Rust has been reconstructing rusted cars and trucks since it was founded in 1977 by Jerry Carlson. With a background in engineering, and hailing from the manufacturing mecca of Detroit, Michigan, Jerry wanted to be in business manufacturing products for the automotive industry. One day a friend asked Jerry if he knew anyone that could weld up his old Volkswagen Beetle. Not being someone to pass up a chance to make some cash, Jerry took it into his fabrication shop and started welding - 40 years later Jerry and his team have repaired over 15,000 vehicles. Auto Rust's line of SafeTCap^® frame repair kits, were created to assist in repairing vehicles in the shop and over time has developed into a line of DIY frame saving kits that can be installed by a qualified technician anywhere in the world. Auto Rust makes kits for all the popular Mopars, assorted GM muscle cars, Chevrolet/GMC Trucks, Jeeps, Saabs, Ford Rangers and Toyota Trucks.
