Acme Ireland Queen Bed with Storage in White Rubberwood

This bed had everything I wanted for the price so I took a chance despite mixed reviews. I do not regret it. It did come as black, but it is very pretty and shiny and I prefer that to the brown actually. Here’s the good: great headboard, lots of drawer space, don’t need a boxspring, sturdy. Here’s the bad: the instructions leave something to be desired (i would also recommend 2 people) and some of the screws, bolts, and washers were missing so expect to have to make them up on your own. Also the instructions don’t clarify that you need to make your own holes whenever they say use a screwdriver instead of the tool provided. Not a big deal, as those pieces are into soft wood and its easy enough to make the hole. I would add, tho, that attaching the headboard to the frame in the instructions directs using only one set of screws, I would use alot more to make it sturdier. Also the holes don’t line up on the final boards that hold your mattress… but its all minor stuff. Everything came undamaged and i do love this bed. Worth the time and money for me. Just make sure you have some extra hardware on hand when you go to put this together. Also, to save you time note that the “legs” are different length, subtle but telling so make sure you try every one in every position before setting them in place cause some will not touch the floor. Also, the drawers are very hard to get on their runners initially, you will have to push very hard. Some people complained this came in 4 big boxes but I was pleasantly surprised it came this way. 2 of the boxes contain nothing but the drawers and they are pre-assembled for you and already have their runners.
