Villeret Quantième Perpétuel Chronographe Flyback à Rattrapante Concept & History The Villeret collection embodies Blancpain's deep roots in traditional haute horlogerie. The reference 4286P-3642-55B combines two of the most sophisticated complications: the perpetual calendar and the split-seconds chronograph. This construction represents a technical breakthrough as it combines the mechanical calculation of the Gregorian calendar with the precise recording of split times. The model bears witness to the preservation of classic complications at the very highest level of watchmaking. Caliber & Technology The centerpiece is the highly complex Caliber 56F9A with automatic winding. The flyback chronograph with rattrapante mechanism is precisely controlled by gear wheels. The finish underlines the high standards of manufacture: the bridges feature hand-finished anglage and fine Côtes de Genève. An elaborate perlage adorns the main plate, while a Glashütte three-quarter plate is omitted for design reasons. The movement, consisting of 466 individual components, offers solid 40 hours power reserve and oscillates constantly at 3 Hertz. Case & Material The solid body made of Red gold 18K measures in diameter striking 42 mm. The characteristic double-row bezel divides the impressive height of 15 mm visually in an outstanding way. The correctors for the complex calendar displays are inconspicuously integrated into the case flank so as not to interrupt the clear lines. The up to 5 ATM The waterproof construction securely encloses the mechanics and reflects the haptic substance of high-quality precious metal housings. Aesthetics & Readability The opaline dial structures the multitude of indications with a strict and well thought-out symmetry. Chronograph counters and perpetual calendar displays harmonize with each other, visually complemented by the moon phase at six o'clock. The applied Roman indices made of Red gold 18K create a clear contrast to the light background. A simple rehaut consistently focuses the eye on the essentials.
