The sockets seem to be pretty good. There are recesses on the sides of the opening that you put your ratchet/extension into so that it stays on. I have had a number of sockets that did not have this and would slip off the piece they were mounted on, which could be very frustrating especially when you are trying to access a fastener that is in a crevice where it is difficult to retrieve the socket that fell off. The recesses will help prevent this. The finish of the sockets is rather nice, but obviously the finish does not make it effective. The sockets appear to be the proper sizes (i did not test all of them). If you work on cars, it is good to have a set like this on hand. Having this on hand will give me some peace of mind that should I encounter a fastener that needs a socket like this to be loosened or tightened, I will be able to do so without mangling the head. I have no reservations about recommending this set. With regard to the case, the hinge is the weak part as si with many types of cases like this (which is very common as well). Since it is just a section of plastic that is flexible that is molded as part of the top and bottom, it can split, which I have seem often with this type of case. In that situation, I take a piece of velcro strapping and wrap it around providing that the top and bottom mate up to stay in place. If that is not the case, a set of socket holder strip/rail will work just as well. If I keep it in my tool box, I can just take the lid off altogether and throw away the top. [...]
