My key was getting sloppy in the “key-hole” on my JD 155c lawn tractor. So I found thisIgnition Switch from Winrain.As listed, it’s a 4-Position style with a 7-Terminal connection. The fit was spot on. I basically show the installation in the included pictures.This switch should fit a wide variety of makes and models. Check the listing for compatability.It also does come with 2 keys, which is great. They are near the OEM size of the JD key, also pictured.Installation is pretty easy. Disconnect the battery! Then remove the old switch via the push tabs on the inside. Remove the plug. Then plug in this new switch and seat into the hole until it snaps. Simple.I will note that it did not fit into my tractor switch hole as tightly as the original. There’s a bit of play.Also, the key turn and mechinism portion is stiff, at least at first. When I pulled the key out the first few times the whole assembly come out of the tractor. I think it will loosen up with use. But I’ll have to find something to keep it in place a bit better.Finally, all 4 positions work as they should. Start, run, lights, and off basically are the options. Each worked just fine.I believe the switch itself is well made and of good quality. I’m not thrilled with the fit in my machine but that could very well just be my machine. Regardless, I think it’s a solid 4 stars and certainly a good replacement option.
